FREE RESOURCE / GO-BAGS & EVACUATION
Leave-Ready Checklist
Choose a realistic route, carry what your household can manage and include the people and pets who need support.
SMALL ENOUGH TO USE TODAY
A packed bag is the beginning. Leaving is the plan.
Use this two-page planning resource to start a useful conversation. It is designed to make the next step clear, without assuming every household has the same budget, storage space or support.
- Know your official local evacuation information source.
- Agree a primary destination and an alternative, with permission.
- Check transport and carrying ability for each person.
Follow official evacuation instructions. Do not enter floodwater, blocked roads or an unsafe building to retrieve a bag. A checklist cannot determine whether a route is safe now.
